Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the controls you have. The short version: we collect what we need to make and deliver your rug, and we do not sell your personal information.
1. What we collect
- Order details: name, email, phone, delivery and billing address, and the items you buy, including custom measurements.
- Payment: handled by our payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna). We never see or store full card numbers.
- Account and preferences: login details, wishlist, saved sizes and currency choice.
- Usage data: device, browser, pages viewed and interactions, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Messages: emails, chats and reviews you send us.
2. How we use it
To make and deliver your order, provide support and warranty service, run your account, prevent fraud, improve the Site, and, with your consent, send marketing like fresh-drop emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in any email.
3. Who we share it with
Service providers who help us operate: our ecommerce platform, payment processors, carriers (FedEx, UPS), email and analytics providers, and our atelier partners who receive only what is needed to make your rug. We share data when required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising without offering you an opt-out.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the Site (cart, currency, login) and optional analytics and marketing cookies to understand and improve how the Site is used. You can control optional cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, our cookie banner.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the CCPA/CPRA in California, and PIPEDA in Canada), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing. Email hello@homeandkraft.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and we will respond within the legally required timeframe. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
6. Retention and security
We keep order records as long as needed for warranty, tax and legal purposes, then delete or anonymise them. Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and our processors maintain industry-standard security.
7. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
